Eggs have great nutritional value and protein when eaten in moderation like many other foods should be eaten.

A large egg contains 75 calories and 6.25 grams of protein. Carbohydrate count in a large egg is 0.6 grams and the count for saturated fat is 1.55 grams. Cholesterol weighs in at 213 mg.

Eggs contain more vitamins and minerals than most people realize. Some of the nutrients contained in eggs (check the carton for others as well as exact amounts) are riboflavin, niacin, folate, vitamins B12, A, D, B6, and E.

Also contained in eggs: calcium, iron, magnesium, sodium, zinc, and other nutrients.
